The goal of the Crosby UMC music ministry is to be open to people of all ages and backgrounds, and to help them use their gifts in leading worship.  The music ministry currently includes one choir, two handbell choirs, and a brass choir.  More choirs and ensembles will be added as the need arises.

    Chancel Choir:

This group of people who love to sing provides weekly worship leadership.  They also present major works during the Advent and Lenten season.  No audition or music-reading skills are required; only a love of praising God with your voice.  The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30, in the Sanctuary.

     Handbell Ministry:

The handbell ministry consists of two handbell choirs.   Each of these choirs rings in the worship service every 4-6 weeks during the school year.  They also present programs in area assisted living facilities, helping the residents to ring and sing familiar hymns and songs.

   Celebration Ringers:

This adult choir is open to any adult who would like to learn about bells.  Music-reading skills are helpful but not required.  The choir meets on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 in the handbell room.

   Rebellion:

This choir is open to any young person, grades 6-12 and adults who enjoy interacting with a younger crowd.  Music-reading skills are required for this group.  They meet on Sundays, 11:30am-12:30pm.

   Brass Ensemble:

This group of brass players plays on an “as-needed” basis, typically during Advent and on Easter.

It is open to anyone with brass experience.
